LEAD-MENA Project Kicks Off in Cairo
The LEAD-MENA project, coordinated by the University of Kairouan (Tunisia), officially launched with a successful Kick-off Meeting held on 28–29 April 2026 at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) in Cairo, Egypt.
Partners from Tunisia, Egypt, Italy, and Greece gathered to begin an exciting journey aimed at:
– Promoting sustainability and innovation
– Modernizing higher education and curricula
– Strengthening collaboration between academia and industry
During the two-day meeting, participants worked on:
– Project coordination, governance, and communication
– Development of innovation hubs and labs
– Curriculum modernization and multidisciplinary teaching
– Risk management and project roadmap
Under the coordination of the University of Kairouan, the project is expected to create a strong impact across the entire MENA region!
